Finallyโ€”a Serving Bowl large enough for your most ambitious dinner parties.
Since the 1600s, the worldโ€™s best Plateware has come from Stoke-on-Trent, England, where the local clay and craftsmanship creates uniquely hard-wearing high alumina vitrified china. Prized for its beauty, longevity, and unrivaled chipping resistance, itโ€™s historically been reserved for the hospitality industryโ€”until now.

Weโ€™re the first to bring this legacy Plateware to home cooks. Instead of partial glazing, the Serving Bowl is fully glazed for 360ยฐ scratch- and chip-resistance. The glazing also makes it resistant to stains and oven safe to 580F, so you can keep your prized creation warm until your whole meal is ready to serve.

Discover Dinnerware thatโ€™s as beautiful on its thousandth meal as it is on its first.

Popular Questions

Where is the Serving Bowl made?

Our stoneware is made in Stoke-On-Trent, England. The quality of craftsmanship makes them extremely chip-resistant, so theyโ€™re perfect for everything from weeknight dinners to special occasion dinner parties.

What is Vitrification?

Vitrification is the process of heating the plateware to its boiling point and then firing it in the kiln to give the clay a smooth glasslike surface. This virtually eliminates pores making the plates stronger and more resistant to bacteria. Additionally, theyโ€™re easily able to withstand our stainless steel flatware. This is the gold standard for any dining room setting in the hospitality industry, and now is available for your home too.

What is the pin in my Serving Bowl?

A sign of true quality, all of our plateware will have a pin, or beauty mark, on the back resulting from the glazing process. Each piece is suspended with pins so that the glazing can be applied evenly front and back. This process eliminates the need for an unfinished foot, or rim, on the underside of the plateware, making each piece more scratch resistant and durable.

What is the benefit of a fully glazed foot?

A fully glazed foot, or the back of the plateware, reduces wear and tear when the plateware is stacked. There will be no scratches on your plateware caused from stacking. This is true across salad plates, bread and butter plates, dessert plates, and so on.
